The best photographs begin long before i ever pick up my camera.
The best images rarely come from perfect posing or knowing exactly what to do with your hands. They happen when you feel present, connected to the people you're with, and comfortable enough to stop thinking about the camera altogether. Creating that kind of experience is where every session begins.
Years of helping people stay calm in high-pressure situations shaped the way I work behind the camera. I'll offer gentle guidance when it's helpful, then step back and let the honest moments unfold naturally, so you can focus on being present, rather than what to do next.
The process
Every session looks a little different, but here's what you can expect from the moment you reach out to the day your gallery arrives.
01. Reach Out //
Tell me about the kind of session you're envisioning, where you'd like to shoot, and what drew you here in the first place. Whether it's a beachside couples session, a growing brand, or time spent in the water, we'll start with a meaningful conversation.
02. Plan Together//
We'll choose a location, talk through timing, and create a plan that feels natural for you. I'll also answer any questions along the way, so you feel prepared before the session ever begins.
03. Make It Official //
Once we've settled on the details, I'll send everything you need to reserve your date and get your session on the calendar.
04. Session Day //
Show up exactly as you are. I'll gently guide you when it's helpful, but I'll never expect you to know what to do in front of the camera. My job is to help you settle into the experience while I take care of the rest.
05. Editing //
Every image is carefully selected and edited by me with the same thoughtful approach I bring to every session.
Locations
The places that make us feel most alive.
I'm based in Pismo Beach and photograph throughout California's Central Coast, from Big Sur to Santa Barbara, with San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Cambria, and Pismo Beach being some of the places I return to most.
Every location offers something a little different, from dramatic cliffs and rolling dunes to quiet stretches of coastline. Together, we'll choose a place that feels natural to you, because the places where we feel most at home often bring out the most honest moments.
